Project Milestone Videos
Our Robo-Assist project is chronicled through a series of milestone videos that demonstrate the key steps and developments made throughout the project's lifecycle. The first video focuses on the 'Navigation' aspect of Robo-Assist, showcasing the robot’s ability to autonomously navigate through a home environment. This includes safely maneuvering around obstacles, which is critical for ensuring the robot can operate effectively without supervision.
The second video highlights 'Aruco Marker Detection.' This feature allows Robo-Assist to identify specific objects and locations using visual markers. This capability is essential for the robot to recognize and interact with various items around the house, such as toys and the toy bin.
Following this, we demonstrate the 'Toy Pickup and Drop-off' functionality in the third video. Here, Robo-Assist is shown picking up toys from the floor and successfully placing them into a toy bin. This process involves precise manipulation skills to handle objects gently and accurately.

As the Team Manager and Lead Developer for the Robo-Assist project, I played a pivotal role in steering the project from its inception to completion. My responsibilities encompassed overseeing the entire development process, ensuring that each phase of the project aligned with our objectives and timelines. As the Lead Developer, I was intimately involved in all technical aspects of Robo-Assist, from the core algorithm development to the intricate system integration. Additionally, I specialized in the User Interface (UI) development, focusing on both the design and functionality aspects. This involved crafting a user-friendly interface that allowed seamless interaction between the users and the robot, ensuring that the technology was accessible and practical for our target user group. My role required a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and a deep understanding of user experience, making it crucial to the project’s success.
